GRRRRAAAAAACCCKKKKKKKKKKKKFFFFFF!!!!

That's just how I feel, okay? DEAL WITH IT!

Stupid memo. Stupid legal writing. Stupid common-law marriage laws. Stupid law school. Stupid cold. Stupid family dinners. Stupid eating too much. Stupid going back to working on paper. Stupid Sunday nights. Stupid Monday mornings. Stupid stupid stupid!

There, I feel better. Oh wait, no, still have like 80% of the paper to go. Better get to it.

Stupid common law marriage.

Sorry I'm not writing anything too supportive, but I feel the exact same way! And I was totally convinced that winter break would be nice and relaxing, until the career services people told us that we should all start looking for jobs over break. Gaaaah. There goes my free time.

    Stupid stupid stupid law school!

  2. Shantelle,

My name is Nando and I am the author of "Third Tier Reality." I read your comment another law blog. I am glad that you were accepted to a "great school."

However, if you are talking about Quinney or BYU, then you are mistaken in that assessment. Both are ranked 42nd best by US News & World Report.

Furthermore, 273 recently admitted attorneys took the oath on October 13, 2010, in the state of Utah. (I personally know people on this list who are UNEMPLOYED.)

The Salt Lake Yellow Pages feature 71 pages of attorney ads. This does not even include the full front and back cover lawyer ads. Out of the 1235 page book, 71 pages are devoted to attorneys. The metro area has a population of about 1.1 million. The state has an estimated population of 2.8 million, and 2.3 million of those people live along the Wasatch Front.

If you want to follow up, with me leave me a comment or email me at nando9936@yahoo.com. I certainly hope that you went in with your eyes wide open, because if you do not have connections or money, you will find it incredibly hard to get into the field. And I am sorry to hear that you have wanted to attend law school since you were a little girl. (That will make it harder for you to accept the reality of the situation.)
